You only get one

I have said the word dude at least 500,000 times.

Totally awesome man.

There are certain words and phrases, no matter how many times I try, that I cannot banish from my vocabulary. I so fight the urge to say them, type them and use them, but my actions are all in vain. Whatever.

But I guess my favorite word is the “f” word. For some reason, I just really like saying it. It flows so freely from my mouth. Typing it, on the other hand, is another story. It feels dirty when I see it in print. Did I go there? Should I take it back? What the fuck was I thinking?

When I articulate it during my everyday life, it just floats off. I can say it 20 times in a conversation, and it’s not a problem. I have been a chronic user since I was 16. I ain’t gonna stop now.

I admire anyone who can seamlessly weave it into their posts.(You know who you are.) The most I can get is maybe one. (*see above)  But, maybe that’s enough. One little lonely “f” word, on the page. Standing bold and proud. Like, totally edgy and cool.

  1. Uh. Yeah. Totally have to go back through my posts before I hit publish and remove that famous word so I don’t get accused of overusing it. I still overuse it. I went through all of my judge tagged posts today to be sure I hadn’t said anything defamatory or libelous and I saw that word a bunch, a whole bunch. It’s just such a great word.

  2. I feel the same so I type ‘feck’ the Irish way of saying it (my son-in-law the user..I shall blame him, but deep inside…in secret I’m saying… fff….fff or flip I still can’t!! Funny as usual Merby – did you see the pic I took on Sunday drive for you? ;-) xx

Be nice..
