Not that kind of tingly feeling. Perverts.
Contrary to popular belief, I like music that has nothing to do with the Fab Four. I was thinking about some of them today, after my cry. Who doesn’t really use music to escape? I don’t listen to enough of it these days. I used to have 3000 of my favorite songs on my MP3 player. I gave it to my daughter, because she broke hers. I never replaced it. Besides, what a pain in the ass to reassemble my entire playlist.
Anyways, some songs just send shivers through you.
I have always wondered why someone might be a Rolling Stones fan, instead of a Beatles fan.
I know.
But there are people who prefer Mick Jagger to Paul McCartney. I have no idea why, but the proof is in the pudding. Whatever the fuck that means. I could look it up, but I am tired.
The Tingle List
Independence day by Martina McBride
This song reminds me of leaving my ex. The meek shall inherit the earth, bitches.
Because you loved me by Celine Dion
My mom and I danced to this song at my wedding.
Right Down The Line by Gerry Rafferty
You know I need your love
You’ve got that hold over me
Long as I’ve got your love
You know that I’ll never leave
When I wanted you to share my life
I had no doubt in my mind
And it’s been you woman
Right down the line
No explanation needed, I don’t think.
Let it please be him by Vicki Carr
I love to pantomime to this song, with all the drama of waiting for the elusive him to call. Yet, alas, it’s not him. And then I die.
I put a spell on you by CCR
This is a killer jam. I ain’t lyin’.
New kid in town by The Eagles
Glenn Frey’s voice hits just the right notes, inducing tingles.
You got it by Roy Orbison
There are so many more, but now I want to know about you guys. What song gives you the tingles?
As you know I love Elvis. My fave and my mom’s was I can’t Help Falling in Love. I love any thing Dusty Springfield sings – in particular All I see is You, You Don’t Have to Say you Love Me, Preacher Man, I do like the Gaga, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Rascal Flatts – aw hell, I can continue for days. Roy – It’s Over, Cry, In Dreams and Running Scared……. I get in moods and right now I am in a serious Dusty mood.
(Rolling Stones – Fade to Black)
Fade to black is the only song I like by The Rolling Stones. It’s so dark and brooding. Dusty is awesome. I like Lady Gaga. I could have kept going, but who has the time to read a epic post on my favorites songs? lol
yeppers, i feel ya. – i did want to say – i like the Stones but not the Jagger lips – freakkkkyyyyy.
He is heinous.
DUH!
LMAO
I am so not a music person. It’s not that I don’t like music, I just never got into following it and I can never remember the song title or the artist name. I’m the only one.
I love you anyway.
And now I think you’re really weird….
This is why I never post anything about music. I have no clue.
I still think you’re weird now.
I am weird. I’m so limited on what I know, it’s sad. I do know what names I can type into iHeartradio to get what music I want to hear, but then I don’t pay attention to titles or names.
Goofy…
Omigosh! I love Roy Orbison … and that song too! The best Roy (imho) is “Running Scared” … the shy guy gets and keeps the girl! I love Lady Gaga’s “Americano”. AND the Moody Blues are awesome (esp. Nights in White Satin). Lately the Medieval Baebes are making me tingly too. And Juanes’ “A Dios Le Pido”. http://vimeo.com/28934355 And Stevie Ray Vaughan’s stuff!
That Omigosh was adorable!! Moody Blues are awesome..I will have to check out that Medieval Baebes..
That Juanes video is creepy at the end. This one is better. http://www.vevo.com/watch/juanes/a-dios-le-pido/USUL20200002
Yoko Ono – Barenaked Ladies: If I was John and you were Yoko…I would gladly give up musical genius. This is my favorite line of all time and am lucky to have a wife I feel this way about.
I love BNL. You can follow me wherever you go….;)
When I Look To the Sky by Train, but I own up to my perviness. That song makes me stop wherever I am and listen. Love the vocal, love the words. Hot guy singing it…….
Will check it out..I am a pervert myself, no harm in it.
Oh my…. I only have one tingle song, and it does so because it’s the one piece of music that literally takes me back in time, and oddly enough that’s Train’s “Drops of Jupiter”. As soon as I hear the opening chords, I get chills and all of a sudden it’s the turn of the millennium again. No idea why my mind would so strongly associate with THAT time period and THAT song, but it does…
That makes sense, though. Some songs become the soundtrack to a certain time frame or memory. Every time I hear “3am” by Matchbox Twenty I think of when my daughter was still a baby, and I had the radio on, doing housework. I liked that song when it came out. Late 90′s..
This gives me tingles amongst many….xx
Oh, I forgot this one. Major tingles. xxx
My mind had hit a complete blank at the moment… I think I just like way too many songs that I can’t pinpoint just a few
If you think of one, let me know.
xxx
I thought of a song, can’t believe I didn’t think of it before… Nessun dorma by Pavarotti. Not your everyday kind of music but I always feel this song tingling my bones when I listen to it
See? Knew you had one.
Into the Mystic by Van Morrison
OMG!!! Love that song!!
I have a confession to make: There are only maybe half a dozen Beatles songs I truly love. I do not get the Beatles adoration.
Like I told Melanie, I love you anyways.
Yay!
To quote Wilbur from Charlotte’s Web..”We got lots in common where it really counts.” (I hope you saw the original or you won’t get this..)
Charlotte’s Web is one of my favorites.
Phew..:)
Today my sister and I were in some store and Jackie Wilson’s “That’s why I love you so” was playing … our Mom LOVED this guy…anything Motown…but especially Jackie Wilson
Tingly …
Love Motown and Jackie Wilson.
