We took a walk today and behind the hospital there is a bridge overlooking some marshland with ducks and shit. The lady who does the morning group said, “Don’t jump.”
I laughed. Something only a depressed person would find funny.
Writing for me is a sort of self therapy and something that I have loved to do since I was young.
I write about many things such as fibromylagia, chronic pain and depression. Sometimes, I also make an attempt at being funny.
depression, humor, thoughts
bridges, depression, don't jump, humor

Ha, even if you did jump, probably just get stuck in the muck. 😉

Yes with duck shit all over me. 😉

Head first in the muck! There’s a picture. I would have laughed, too.
I’m glad that you get it.

That is a great counselor, I think. She knows what you’re thinking and makes it funny. Perfect!

She said it very quietly so only a few of us heard her…she is awesome.

She does sound amazing! One who knows the value of humor! What a gift. 🙂

June 25, 2015 at 7:01 pm
I think that was the number one rule…the second one was don’t step in any duck shit. 🙂

It’s a good thing David Lee Roth wasn’t leading the walk…

That would have been a disaster!

I would have too, and then pretended I was going to. Maybe. I’ve been at that point myself lately so I don’t know.
Glad you’re doing better hun. Hugs.

I don’t do anything that would make them think I need to be locked up again. LOL
Thanks dear…I still have a long way to go. *hugs*

I would have laughed too 🙂
But ye gods – that picture!! I have nightmares about crossing huge ravines or rivers on a rickety, falling to pieces rope bridge. There’s probably some deep an meaningful insight into my psyche to be gleaned from those dreams. I don’t know what it is, but I do know those types of bridges give me the heebeegeebees. But then any excuse to write heebeegeebees is also a good thing LOL

Bridges don’t give me the heebeegeebees….but the bugs buzzing in my ears do. LOL

Glad that you still find some things funny, Mer. I have to say, I’d have laughed too.
