It’s been almost 72 hours since I’ve had a cigarette, you guys. And honestly, I haven’t even been tempted to smoke one. I am a huge fan of vaping now and thrilled that my brother took the time to get my mom and I started out.

Behold my vape thingy.
It’s a little expensive to get started, but still less than my smoking budget for the month. My brother (he’s been such a peach lately) actually threw down an extra $50 so I could get a nice quality vape thingy. He said he really wanted me to quit smoking. He didn’t want me to buy one that would break as soon as I brought it home.

Holy shit, there are so many flavors to choose from! My mom, myself and my brother were trying all kinds of ejuices at the shop we went to, passing it back and forth. (Ah, family bonding time.) My aunt just watched us.

My mom got Strawberry Banana and Java. I bought Swedish Fish and something called Easy Peasy, which has a watermelon/peach taste.

I ordered more flavors from a website to try out. (I had to email them a photo of my drivers license to verify that I am an old fart.) They will actually be delivered today.

BLUEBERRY CUSTARD

CHOCOLATE PUFF COOKIE

STRAWBERRY MILK

FRENCH VANILLA CHEESECAKE

ORANGE CREAMSICLE

I can kill my sweet tooth at the same time while I’m satisfying my need for nicotine. The dude at the shop told my mom and I that since we are both heavy smokers, we should start out with 12 mg and slowly ween ourselves down.

My husband says that I don’t taste like an ashtray now when he kisses me.

I am really proud of myself. I know that technically I am still addicted to nicotine, but I am getting my fix in a healthier (and cheaper) manner. Who knows, I might even be able to quit altogether. (Maybe. Let’s not push things.)

If you’re a smoker, would you ever consider switching to vaping?

If you’re not a smoker, good for you!
